I can't believe you forgot about me.
Your own daughter!
Have you ever felt like you had forgotten something?
Well, that something was me.

All theses little things add up.
Like today you promised you'd pick me up.
I'm sorry to say I believed you.
Thats one thing i should never, ever do.

Today you left me out in the rain.
Literally.
I sat there for two hours and waited for you to appear.
After that I knew you had forgotten

I call mom and she played it cool.
Like you got held up at "work"
But no i just talked to you.
And you pretended like you never promised.

You told me you were going to take me to the beach.
But I should have known you were drunk.
And would soon forget about me.
All my friends pity me.

But I don't want people to feel sorry.
You embarrass me.
And I know your not sober enough to understand.
But you tire me out with all your lies.

Your not worth my tears.
But I've been telling me myself that for years.
Sitting alone for hours, hoping.
Something will click.

Like, maybe you'll remember your broken promises.
And maybe you'll learn to care care.
