Emergence (Rondelet)

by Sylvia   Aug 28, 2009

Based on the quote: Wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weights you down. Toni Morrison

New beginnings,
bring change, hope for a better day.
New beginnings,
starting over again, winning.
Courage not to be lead astray,
look to the future everyday.
New beginnings.

A positive message for the readers. We have
to learn to look ahead & not allow the past
to weigh upon us..liked the read & the form :)

You are absolutely right. If we dont let go of the things that weigh us down we will never be able to move on--but rather we'll be stuck in the past and not focused on the future. I think thats a struggle we all have, is to forget the past and move on, because the past doesnt matter--the future should be our main focus. New beginnings are great and its nice to have that fresh new slate to start with. Anyways, a great write. Very well done, I think all could relate to your words.. they were full of nothing but wisdom.

It's never to late to begin again, never to let to allow the sun to shine on your face or love to fill your world.
This poem is uplifting and encouraging.
The past is something we need to learn to shed, like a snake , leave it behind and don't look back it's useless.

    Silvia,

To give up the "shit" that weighs you down is not always that easy to do, but we should always strive to free ourselves from thoughts and (old) habits ( and sometimes even people) that prohibit us from having a happy life and indeed when one has a chance *winks* to start over in some kind of way, one should do so, by all means!

    Good job:)

    *hugs*
