One year, two months

I would liked you to have seen
The person I`ve become
I am sure you`d be proud
Of everything I`ve done.

I`ve tried to be optimistic
However some things have changed
Your death has brought us closer
Our love for you remains.

An event I wished you here for
Is when my exam results arrived
Everyone was joyful and happy
But i thought of you, and sighed.

My sights are now set high
A new life plan is fixed
I hope to go to university
But driving lessons are next.

Everyone is doing well
We have to continue on with life
I still think about you constantly
And yes, we look after your wife.

For now, I am stricken with grief
I still feel emotional and upset
However, it was fifteen years of laugher
I`m just so thankful we ever met.
