Muse-less

by Lady Nik   Aug 30, 2009

I sing a song that has no tune...
no melody no chorus.
Just meaningless words
pouring from parted lips
I am muse-less.

I write a story that has no plot...
no characters no setting.
Just pretty words
falling from fragile hands
I am muse-less

I paint a picture that has no color...
no shapes no lines.
Just long strokes
running from rusty brushes
I am muse-less

I cut a vein that has no blood...
no meat no cells.
Just scarred skin
breaking from bruised razors
I am muse-less

This was amazing :) It portrayed really strong emotion. I loved how it suddenly turned in the last stanza to show the sadness resulting from this nothingness. Was a really beautiful poem :) you are really talented. Well done.

    5/5 for suree
