I loved our Differences

by Second to None   Aug 31, 2009

You say we have nothing in common
But i think that thats why we belong
I loved how you dress in baggy jeans
And i practically lived in converse and skiny jeans

How you always were listening to rap
And i always listened to what you called screamo crap
How you were so loud
And i never liked a large crowd

But i thought you saw life the same
And I loved to see though yours
I've done years of dance
And you only gave football a chance

You where short and cute
And i was tall and seemed like a mute
You had your wavy black hair
And my was so light and fair

I wish that you had
After all this time see
Your differences mean nothing to me

Aw this is super cute! Opposites for sure attract. Reminds me of me and my boyfriend. :) I think maybe the flow needs a little bit of work and maybe throw in a little more emotion. And when I say this I don't mean cliche stuff. For instance (not relating to your poem)...
    1. "He swept me off my tired feet like a night in shining armor" rather than
    2. "He acted like my prince in my own cinderella story."
Understand by adding details and structure your not cliche and it makes the poem pop nice job!
