My sinking ship

by Helene   Sep 2, 2009

Sinking ship ahead of me,
Drowning slowly inside of me,
And I know it's gonna break,
But there's nothing I can do,
To save the last remaining will,
And run like Hell away from you.

I've been warned a thousand times,
Nightmares begging to withdraw,
But when it comes to strength in love,
I guess I drew the shortest straw.

I lay beside you in the night,
Watching every move you make,
Waiting for the next psychosis,
Waiting for my next mistake.

Blindly I obey my heart,
Telling me to hold you close,
Forgive the anger that you're brewing,
Forgive the lessor life I chose.

I know I cannot ever leave you,
I know it's way too late for me,
So I'll just lay here in the Darkness,
Waiting for the fall to be.

Do you really believe the fall is inevitable?
Liked it, short kept it beautiful..
