What is Love

by Ray Smallshaw   Sep 3, 2009

When a look passes through my eyes,
Or a thought passes across my mind,
Of my one true Love,

Tears of happiness fill my eyes,
My heart aches with joy,
And my stomach clenches with want,

That is the power she has over me,
She is my breath, my food, my water, my day, my night, my today, my tomorrow, my meaning, my all and so my Life,

So what is Love, to me Love is simply my Wife, my Ooy.

It is wonderful the twinges and feelings that love can give you.
I'd give this poem a 5/5 cause it speaks from the heart.
It doesn't matter about structure or anything, because i think that you truly captured the essence of love at its highest point. Love to the feeling of aching.
my favourite line: My heart aches with joy,

you wonderful comparisons are what make your poems so beautiful.

Great poem! you portrayed youre thoughts excellently and gave the reader exactly what he/she deserves with this poem. Overall the flow was good but
"Of the one who is my one true Love?" could use a different word instead of using one twice
    and
"My stomach clenches up with my want,
And my heart aches with my joy,"
I think these two lines would flow better if you took out the word my! just some suggestions
    Overall good job!
