Red

by Kat   Sep 3, 2009

Looking through the eyes of frayed dreams,

Lack of pity, sympathy, empathy,

Red is the color I see.

Could've, would've, should've,

Wasting precious seconds.

This idea you have, perception,

Of someone else's reality.

A knife in the heart couldn't hurt,

This much, too much.

I will persevere,

Belittle and underestimate me.

You will only succeed in building me.

Torn asunder, my burden you cannot bear.

Weighted down by your predetermined ideas,

Knees hit the ground, no prayer uttered.

Red is the color I see.
