Greed

by Jay Perry Jr   Sep 4, 2009

What is your pleasure
do money make you better
do diamonds make you treasure
do your car rock leather

what is your pride
do material things make you hide
how you really feel inside
like without it you would die

you don't care to love
i know you want the money
i know you want the clothes
i know you want the cars
and all of the above

but i got news for you
with or without it haters wont adore you
your so call friends just spoil you
to get in your paycheck when it comes through

you walk the red carpet with flashing lights
showing off your trend showing off your ice
they talk about you in magazines for a large price
while you ignore them and live your life

some kids in the world cant even eat
while you have a huge house for one to sleep
extra money to spend on useless keep
I'm not hating I'm just saying the peace

you don't care to love
i know you want the money
i know you want the clothes
i know you want the cars
and all of the above

Your message is clear and comes across well, it is true how some people who have wealth will completely use it for unnecessary items that they cant even take with them to the afterlife. Its sad when u have other's that dont have much, but its always been proven that th ones that have the most stuff always are never truly happy b/c they have more to lose then their counterpart that doesn't have much. Keep it up very enjoyable read.
