She Shines

by Lady Nik   Sep 5, 2009

I remember the way you turned
in your small hospital bed...
ready to rip your I. V. and runway.
Well don't fret dear--
freedom is yours now.

Disease no longer
binds you, you will have all
control. I wish you happiness
as you go on without me.
Memories will brighten my
heart and keep me
from frowning too much.

I stand here at your grave
white lilies in hand...sad
that I couldn't remember you
loved them until now. I read the
writing the decorates your tombstone
and I hold back sweet tears.
I know that you are safe now...
skipping over clouds and sleeping
in lush gardens. Just remember to kiss
the stars for me to keep them shinning.

You were always the brightest
star, you are where you
belong now.

*For my Mother Mary my great grandmother. Your star shines through me everyday :) *

This is really good! I know how it feels to loose a loved one. They are always in our hearts.
