Take Flight

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 5, 2009

Call me cruel in your snaky lisp
Let your disgust flow over my weary flesh
I shall use it to bathe my vile heart
Hardening its resolve

Weakness has stroked your ego
Feeding your vanity, as the sun feeds life
My soul will no longer be your vessel
A breeding ground of contempt and misery

Your vitriolic symphonies fall on deaf ears
Drowned out by the winds of freedom
Carried to your God's ears
So He may find what is in your heart

Drift from my sight as the sun sets
The night is sure to brim with stars
Wishes wait to be fulfilled
And I have dreams to weave

Quite an intense write...deep emotions and bits of anger could be felt ... wonderfully expressed...

A powerful piece that spoke clearly of your intentions. The wording was brilliant and struck me with description and real feeling to get me more into this piece. Well-written, keep it up.
