Scream!

by Sylvia   Sep 5, 2009

(This is just a poem, a product of an over active imagination, no reflection of my thoughts)

Piercing the night, a scream,
replete with pain, agony,
escaping through clenched teeth,
shattering the silence.
Yelling, crying, NO! NO! NO!, please NO!

Lips in motion, words erupting, no emotion,
daggers piercing a heart.
Eyes filling, tears spilling.
No mistake, an ache, smile fake.
Am I awake or caught in a nightmare, a dream?

Trust destroyed, promises made, broken.
Love diminished, finished.
How can you walk away,
leaving a life in disarray?
Never again, a fool no more, I matter.

There is a lot of frustration in this write that
screams with pain as well as anger...and it
gave such a clear image for the mind too.
    Take care

Great job on the poem. It's almost like a reoccuring nightmare. I agree with Melody...like the release of so many emotions that have been bottled up for to long finally being released.

This was really good, powerful and full of emotion, especially frustration. A sad write but well done!
