A House

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Sep 5, 2009

A house embellished with silence.
And painful memories all around.
Nobody wants to start the healing.
Silent screams are the only sound.

They sit at the table to gather.
And each hopes for the time to quickly pass.
All of them bear grudges.
This family wasn't meant to last.

A house filled with hypocrisy.
A house filled with fear.
A house with moral degradation.
A house that is lacking cheer.

As i sit and observe.
My analyzing mind starts to roam.
Only to acknowledge the saying.
That not every house is a home.

*There is no recipe for a perfect family. It's simply sticking around for each other, not hurting each other, and respecting and loving each other.

This is very inspirational and as you say "not every house is a home." We never know what goes on behind closed doors. 5/5, Em

A house is not a home, only the people living within can transform that structure into a place of love, friendship, family and make it a home. It so very sad when this does not happen.
