A feather tosses in the wind,
Shades of gray stain the sky,
Breathless - the air has thinned,
Tears like raindrops as I cry,

The thunder deafening screams,
Tainted hearts echo their lies,
Not an ounce of hope in dreams,

Lightening flashes our dark past,
Sins committed without thinking,
Heaven knows it will never last,
Souls are fading - we're sinking,

Lost in the eye of the storm,
A whirlwind of emotion explodes,
We're not cold - just less warm,
