Misunderstood

by Lacey James   Sep 8, 2009

I knew a girl who hid so well behind a fake smile,
(you wouldnt wanna try n talk to her, for she was a mystery file)

She wouldnt open & show her true feelings like she should.
So she was ignored, and so very misunderstood.

she would let her anger & fear build up, along with sadness.
it grew to much it turned her to madness.

it would get so much for her to bare, that without a care,

she opened up and old wound,
after the bleeping stopped, she would go outside n cry to the moon.
(the moon was her only friend, the object that could make her heart mend)

She would cry to moon, till she heard the early morning loon.
Imagining that soon, she would have to put on her fake, happy smile,
and her tormenting demons would come in a while.

Oh these demons!!

They live deep inside,
striking her from her pride.

they do nothing but remind her of the bad & never the good,
She doesnt know it yet, but they are the reasons why she's so misunderstood.

she cant kill these demons, but she wishes she could.
But with or without them, she's still so misunderstood.

but why would she want to kill these demons? is wat she thinks.
These demons know her pain, and can give her the world in one eyes blink.

yet the demons are the only ones to see,
that, whats behind her fake smile...... is tha real me!!
