Darkened Aura

by RoseBlood   Sep 8, 2009

Swollen face from sleepless nights
And her tears just water her eyes
Not enough tears to ease the pain
Not enough strength to make it go away

Sometimes she'll deceive you
By giving you a shadowed, sincere smile
And yet, if you look deeper
You'd see the darkness that's settled there

How hard she tries to fake it all
To be happy around people
Though she knows it clearly
The sun doesn't rise for her anymore

The secret is well hidden by her mask
No one can see the sadness inside
A Broken heart, a torn apart soul
That won't shine ever again
