Love Letters

by divine divinity   Sep 9, 2009

Love.
The letters seem so empty.
There's nothing special about an L,
Its just a right angle.
Does this mean one day my love will change?
That I'll go in another direction?

Yet the boring O says something different,
That love is continuous and forever,
Part of the circle of life.

And the V is just as normal,
Unless you see the ancient symbol,
V is a woman, her womb, its life,
Which makes sense, love is part of life,
Or so the story goes.

So E must hide something too,
Some deep meaning beneath the surface,
Yet find it I have not,
Maybe E is the mystery of love?
The spark that keeps the fire going?

Bringing it all together I'm still rather confused.
But that's the point though isn't it?
Never understanding,
Just enjoying the confusion.
The beauty that such a plain word holds.

This poem was really well written. Maybe some rhymes or two would have made it even more enjoyable. Explaining love was a really good idea. Nice job.

Unique creativeness, i love it. You are so right, no one know the secrets of love. We so much uses it, even abuse it, but it's meaning are not fully explore. Well done, 5/5, kel.
