To Colour Outside The Lines

by Still Slightly Broken   Sep 9, 2009

Ridicule and hatred is all you can hear
Chopped up for flavour and mixed in with fear Stuttering words that make no sense
Running in circles, enclosed in this fence

Longing to mess up and colour outside
Instead, hiding between those perfect lines
Hitting the note like an axe to wood
Doing what everyone says you should

Praying like crazy you could break down and cry. Wishing, wanting, wondering why
Not stable enough to stand on your feet
Hiding from monsters under your sheet

Slipping away through the cracks in the glass. Watching as time goes by so fast
Killing yourself before they get the chance
Too tired to look as they perform their dance
