Seagull Soiree

by Corinne   Sep 10, 2009

The Seagull Soiree
Is underway
At least a thousand of them
Fill the sky
In seemingly haphazard
Flight
Stopping and starting
As they're darting in the air

But perhaps they are really doing
Their farewell dance to summer
Swirling whirling
Laughing and squawking
Their avian talking
As they head off
To parts unknown

So long, Summer Seagulls
Until we meet again

This brought back a lot of happy memories for me. We have so many seagulls where I live because of lake erie. I use to take the kids to feed them....we always fed them amd stayed in the car. You could only leave the window down a crack because they would try to come in. They love french frys....LOL....Great job on this one :)
    Take care

I never liked seagulls because when at the beach, they would dive bomb down to the beach to grab scraps of food. Reminded me of the Hitchcock movie, The Birds. Well done.
