The Little Phoenix

by RoseBlood   Sep 16, 2009

The time of beauty and stars passed away
It was lived sincerely and spontaneously

Now, a line of a song is left
A line that tells lies a lot

But faith is left too
With a little sorrow about you

Perhaps this was a lesson
Which thought me how to put my wings on
And fly up and catch the Sun
Stand proud next to it

But someone else's will didn't let me do it
It brought me darkness and cold
Left me with a tear in my eye
In the middle of a storm in the sky

...and when the storm is gone
I looked for a hug
For something soft to cover me
To heal the burning wounds

Looking for hope in the future
Like a little phoenix trying to rise again
Looking for affection, an unbearable desire
So that the painful ashes will be gone

What a very sad poem. Your emotions could be felt as I read your words.

..and when the storm is gone
    I looked for a hug
For something soft to cover me
    To heal the burning wounds

HUgs can be so very healing. The love and the warmth from a hug give you the best feeling. I liked this stanza.

Looking for hope in the future
Like a little phoenix trying to rise again
Looking for affection, an unbearable desire
So that the painful ashes will be gone

nice ending. I hope you find what you are searching for.
    Good job!
    Take Care
    Cindy
