She's so scared to fall again,
because that means letting go.
she stands at the edge,
and spreads her arms out
takes a deep breath
and then he stops her

this girl sits and listens as he tells her
his sad story
about how his life is falling apart
and how much he needs this girl who doesn't want him
she wraps his arms around him as he cries
she doesn't know what to say
this is always how she ends up
the friend to run to
to turn to when it all falls to shit
she is left to make it all better
but then no one turns around to help her
dark eyes that need her
that she needs to want her
