The Colors of Summer

by NightFlyer   Sep 17, 2009

The forest's sweet scents, they flow through the trees
As I look upon a distant blue bay
From my wooden bench in gentle, cool breeze
I take in the peace of this tranquil day.

Tall cypress and oak, my company here
As white, puffy clouds go tumbling by
The view from these bluffs so endless and clear
As I look beyond the deep azure sky.

The forest, it sings its sweet melody
Of crickets and birds in wondrous mirth
I listen to them and gaze at the sea
From these lofty heights, a heaven on earth.

For nature displays her carpet of green
And heaven above's an ocean of blue
The colors of Summer, so soft and serene
In this sunny portrait I'm painting for you.
