The Big Question

by ~!~TY~!~   Jun 15, 2004

It was the last day of school,
and the big question was,
Are you going to Lisas party?!?!
Everyone said yes,
except for three girls.
When someone asked why they were not going,
the answer was unknown.
People made jokes about them being childish.
Their boyfriends begged them to go,
but the answer was still, no.
Party time came,
and it was a blast.
People called to get the girls to come,
but they would not budge.
The party got wild,
and someone brought out the drugs,
and then someone bought alcohol.
Hours passed,
and things had severely changed.
Everyone was high,
they were puking everywhere.
People were getting taken advantage of,
and others, raped.
One of the neighbors was sick of the noise,
and she called the cops.
When they came, everyone fled.
they all jumped in there cars,
and drove away,
all stoned,
utterly lost,
and not ready for what was coming next.
Beckys car was swerving down the road,
until the point of impact was made.
Becky and her friends were alive,
but hurt badly.
Becky looked lifeless in the hospital bed.
She asked the nurse to please call her best friend,
but she just ignored Becky.
When she was sick of waiting,
She started screaming for Maria.
She could not live without her best friend,
and she needed Maria by her side.
The nurse did not want to break the news to Becky,
but she had to.
She calmly said,
Maria is gone.
Becky did not understand.
The nurse gave her a look,
and Becky instantly new.
As Becky started to cry,
she so desperately wanted to die.
The nurse then said,
Becky, you are also pregnant.
Now shaking, Becky said,
I was raped at the party.
Weeks later,
Becky stood at the edge of an office building,
ready and willing to jump.
The pressure had built greatly.
Her parents kicked her out.
She had no where to go.
She had no one to turn to.
She had no shoulder to cry on,
And she had killed her best friend,
the only person that truly loved her.
She went back to the day it all happened.
She remembered that day at school,
and how she made fun of Maria.
She remembered Maria trying to persuade her to skip the party.
But Becky would not even think about it.
Becky never thought of the consequences.
Now, back to the present.
Becky stepped of the ledge,
now wishing she had not.
Becky was dead.
And now,
all through the halls, the people asked.
The big question.
Did you here about Becky?
Those who did not know,
found out.
And those who did,
just nodded and said yes.
After the huge tragedy.
When the question of,
Are you going to the party? came up,
There are more answers that are,
NO!
Because of six peoples deaths.
