Dueling silence

by Madison   Sep 19, 2009

Silence my old friend we meet again
i see you wont return my gaze
you simply stare as if transfixed
by nothing more than deepest pain
i should have guessed you would not speak
but i will see if you can hold
i know that all you ever want
is nothing more than eternal echo
believe me when i say at last
I'll beat you still if all time pass
never again shall i play your stooge
or stop my song for your sullen mood
i know your secret, your time has come
filling you with every thought i have
will drive you and not me mad.

This really is a fun poem. Left me smiling at not only the unique perspective but also the simple absurdity ofthe piece. AAmazing write
