Silver Flash

by effervescence   Sep 19, 2009

Darkness unfolds,
Veiling the sun.
The moon,
Nature's only beacon of radiance,
Rises high in the incessant shadows,
A glowing radiance in the night.

The cliffs,
Overlooking the verdant forest,
Catches light.
Twirling, dancing
Moving upon silent stone
There is nothing but peace and tranquility.

Keen, green eyes roam,
Flickering over the forest, his land
Perching on his throne, the cliff,
His shoulders proud, strong,
He stands.

Rising like the lord he is,
He casts one last, lingering look.
Then
A flash of silver is all we see
The wolf has vanished
Retreating to the night.
