She Shares a Word with Me

by Scott E Buttross   Jun 15, 2004

She shares a word with me
Her voice
Reads scriptures from
A book
I thought I had the only copy
Subject of unknown
Prophecy. Maybe it wasn’t so
Secret,
Sacred
It holds time
Cryptic messages of my mind
And she reads Herstory
History transcending what’s mine.
Who else will write of this
Four letter epic
-Love
Are there more psalms
To blind my loneness,
Set it at bay with
Another’s comfort to find.
Their stories not so different
Than what I thought
Was mine.
