Downfall

by LameOANDSuperDork   Sep 21, 2009

Walking through blood-soaked grass
Breathing in poisonous air.
The sky once beautiful, now
covered in smoke.
Where is our justice?

Bullets whizzing
Grenades thrown.
A land once peaceful, now
inhabited by dead bodies.
Where is our peace?

Caring not for the innocent
Everyone's guilty.
A town once quiet, now
filled with murder.
Where are our morals?

Swimming in drugs
Drowning in alcohol.
A child once pure, now
infected by sin.
Where is our guidance?

Bombs descending
Terror rising.
A building once mighty, now
reduced to ash.
Where is our hero?

Children crying
Families running.
Our world once stable, now
consumed in chaos.
Is this our end?

I think about the same thing always.
Amazing how you stole the thoughts right out of my head.
Gave me the goosebumbs as all truthful tales.
    Hare Krishna.
