Everybody thinks they understand
the way a crying girl lays
The way she spreads tears across her pillow
and the way she screams his name
They don't
until you actually see the way the light
in her eyes don't show up
You haven't seen pain till you see her crying in her pillow
and screaming his name
You know shes dieing on the inside
Shes hurting the way she walks to school because its
one more day to see him
one more day to look at him
You haven't seen pain
Until you see him walk away
Until you see her fall to her knees
begging for him back
Shes hurting
dieing on the inside
Everybody thinks they know
But everyday you see her
do you see her crying
Everybody Look!
Shes dieing...
"Everybody thinks they understand"
i love this line so much because people really do think they understand by saying things like "aww sweety its okay, youll get over it" or "there are more fish in the sea"
gosh i hate when people say things like that to me..and thats why im so intrigued into your wonderful poem...i feel that very same way at this moment.
great poem!
