Broken angel

by MERCY is never shown   Sep 22, 2009

I saw an angel tonight
a broken angel

with a brace and scars
but he's my angel

my angel doesn't have a halo
my angel can't fly

but when i see his smile
it touches my heart

the Way he still plays
and still has hope

brings tears to my eyes
when i think of his strength

he's an angel
that fell too hard

his wounds will heal
but only with time

i hold back tears
as i watch him laugh

the sweet melodic sound
could only be my angel

but the pain i saw it bring
for a fleeting moment of happiness

yet he still smiles
my wounded angel

he doesn't have a halo
and he can't fly

but he's my angelos
my messenger of love

my wounded angel
who soon will heal

but only with time
will i get to see him fly again

This is excellent .. I think of you looking at a child with cerebral palsy or cystic fibrosis ; something they`re born with . It really appeals to anyone who's ever known any one with one of those illnesses . I like how you seperated it into two lines , it's really effective .

I love the way you listed all the negative things about the "angel" and let everybody know exactly what he wasn't, but then let it be known that you loved it regardless because it was yours and noone elses. Great job 5/5
