Apart

We have been apart now for what seems like so long,
I can’t explain now why the hurt isn’t gone.
Someone once told me that the hurting fades away,
And when it’s gone you will miss it.
I think my hurts here to stay.

Every day I think of you,
And I wonder if you are the same;
Still thinking of me too,
Still remembering my name.

Dreams so vivid,
Come to me every night.
A fraction of life living with you,
full of happiness and light.
Until I awake,
And am brought here:
The long day so different
The loneliness…
Full of emotions so pale.
Withered stains of memories,
A heart broken –
Still beating –
But without air.

Can dreams be united,
With the darkness of day.
To bring light into memories,
And send loneliness away.
Then enfill the void,
With a color so bright.
That it might bleed pale to color
And darkness to light.

A heart once denied,
Broken in two.
But with mend able pieces,
Mend able by you.

So many memories of time spent,
Together with you.
And a life so happy
Cut off to briefly.
Every moment apart,
Yanks at my heart.

I can not deny it,

Listen to my soul,
Opening myself up,
Venturing a risk,
Entrust in you.

Your heart is so beautiful.
Only words I can breathe—my
Undying love for you.
