A lovely heartfelt write. So touching and real :) Lol. I've went through this 4 times!.. and its not easy, haha. My youngest was the hardest... I worried sick about him till he came home, as he was very petted on me. When he got home he said he didnt want to come home... that he didnt get staying long enough he'd had such fun! haha. A beautiful poem Meena... I loved it! Nice write :)

The distance never act as a barrier if the feelings are true... but the time of departure is so full of emotions... we feel both happy and sad... smiles and tears do make a duel... very beautifully expressed ... made me remember all the moments when both my tears and smiles were in a duel...

    lovely write...

Meena, seeing a child off to the first day of school does bring smiles and tears and is more scary to the mother than the child. Well done and a joy to read.

    Meena,

To love is to set free and in freedom they will want to stay with you, out of that same love.

I have but one child and it was hard on me to let him go as well, 15 years ago already, to his first day at school....

But, I always had this desire to have him loved by as many people as possible, for I feel love should never be selfish and our children are not ours, just in our keeping for as long as they cannot fly by themselves.

As soon as you set someone you love free, they will start to love you even deeper, Meena..while when you cling to them, they will fight to get free.

I have this feeling you know all that I said just now already:)

    God bless, fellow mother!

Pure emotion in this one was what brought everything together. A great write, short but well done :]
