Whenever you look at me,
My heart skips a beat,
Your brown eyes smolder me,
Like the mid-afternoon heat.
My cheeks go scarlet,
As you flash a little smile,
Getting used to that,
Will definitely take a while.
You seem to know what I’m thinking,
As you turn to your next class,
I stand frozen in place,
Waiting for the feeling to pass.
Eventually it does,
And I leave you behind,
But the image of your face is still fresh in my mind.
I replay our encounter over in my head,
I sigh in content; enough is said.
I finally walk away is what I do then,
But hoping next hour I can see you again.
