Memories

by Scott E Buttross   Jun 15, 2004

Fragments of memories
I hold on to, either by
Choice, or by an
Everlasting impression.
Things said, and the way
They said it. Some make
Me feel good, some
Sad, and some inspired.
But these words
Everso stuck in my
Head, still slowly fade.
Sometimes a memory
Or recollection thought
To be gone reveals itself
Brought back by maybe
The most minute
And unnoticeable detail.
A whole experience
Filled with emotions
And unforgettable sensory
Details, Yet even
The most intrinsic
Description will never
Paint the same picture.
For a memory whether
Original or a perceived
Image told by the words
Of another, is uniquely
Written with a different pen
Into the mind.
