Forever existent

Dreams of yesterday still lapse ashore
Like salt in the wounds
For some reason I keep coming back for more

Once the sun of your love
Now I'm burning your eyes
Drying up the shore

Yet the dreams for me come back stronger than before
I'm living on nothing
I no longer see hope over the hills anymore

The sun stagnated, shining where my body lay
Where the reality of you swims
Swims from where a love once stayed

I gotta venture out of here
This dream-land I live in at a constant speed of going nowhere
For I see you don't care

The past is eternally felt
With my perception, I'm living in the existent
When the sun goes out

You are forever in my heart
Forever existent

OMG, I really enjoyed reading this poem. Such a unique yet very touching. I love the whole of the poem but the best bits were the start and end. "Dreams of yesterday still lapse ashore
    Like salt in the wounds
For some reason I keep coming back for more" - wonderful start, showing how touched you were from what happened but now the wounds are like rubbing salt into them.
"You are forever in my heart
Forever existent " - Flawless!!! Good job, 5/5. Em
