Can eyes see beneath the skin
Read this emotion drawn from within.
A passerby caught my eye,
Did he see what I was trying to hide.
A connection made;
I must break it,
For I am afraid
They will all make it
To be something other than
Only I can see.
Why do they all try to take,
It makes it so hard to present the fake,
And hide the deep emotions within me.
How much longer till I break.
Release these deep emotions
For all to forsake.
