Two Doves

by Jewels   Jun 15, 2004

Two doves two of a kind, so very young but not blind, we are not
free.

The pain seen and felt by us both has matured us beyond our years. We cover
our wounds and continue with everyday we see.

Mother though you have gone from both of our lives, you are still here,
within our minds.

You haunt us night and day in our dreams, and in our waking hours.Theres no
escape from you and what you've done.

I want nothing more than to hide from you,and to forget all the times you
made me cry.The times you hurt my sister and I.

Two doves two of a kind stabbed in the heart, corrupted in the mind with
your angry words and violence.

I'm sorry we're not perfect I'm sorry we weren't good
enough in your eyes. we tried ,but in the end we knew all was lost.

Two doves two of a kind lost without direction, without a purpose. helpless
are we,our tearstained faces are the badges we've earned.

Mother you are gone, far far away and several years later we still
remember.... everything, as if it had happened yesterday.

Two doves two of a kind so very young but not blind with wisdom beyond our
years time has not let us forget all those times you made us cry...my
sister and I.
