Silent Reminders

by Jillian   Sep 25, 2009

In this silent remainder of darkness that befalls me,

I hear the footsteps breaking the silence a rift in my thoughts,

The world is suddenly still motionless and effortless,

Peeking into the nothingness a mystery of me inside,

Chasing away dreams wanting them to be future realities

Put me down, call me names

Kick me out, throw me around

Never will I back down

I am strong, I am brave

I may cry, but I am loved

Never will I back down

One step forward, three steps back

I will never accept defeat

For I am strong and though I have my limitations

Muscular Dystrophy cannot break me down

For I am woman, and I am invincible

And I will never accept defeat!

You go girl. You should never accept defeat. I don't know much about Muscular Dystrophy but you should never let anything or anyone put you down. I admire you for writing this. 5/5. Em
