The Choice Has Yet Been Made

by HidinVictim   Sep 26, 2009

She's tired of lying
Done with trying
She'll always love him
But does she really want him?

A simple kiss on the cheek
And her emotions freak
Words not spoken
But written in fonts

Could she give this another try?
One more lie
Just add it to the pile
More false smiles

Words she can not speak
Through a phone that only beeps
Another sad goodbye
Tonight she'll grow wings to fly...

With shaking hands
She finds release
Temporary peace
Her flying wings

The emotions behind this poem was so profound. A short piece however, i think you have managed to portray a great piece from the heart.

This was sad, but I can relate right now, except for the ending, because I feel it takes more courage to live than to die. Beautifully penned piece.
