Meditation On a Silent Run Way

by Scott E Buttross   Jun 15, 2004

Birds no longer leave these grounds.
Years have broken stray rocks from
Omniscient run ways paved slick of natural land.
On star lit nights there I would stand and free my soul.
Darkness all around me…
A city skyline deep in the distance
However so far as to not be heard.
No sounds of city buses or tree leaves rustling
Not a buzz of insects about or dogs howling at the night.
Only a persistent wind growling over the land.
Here my thoughts reached into the universe.
Each deep breath I took of air
Extended my mind with boundaries beyond my time.
Energy strains spun round me and darted into galaxies
Pulling my fingertips along my hand.
Earth rattling I was immersed instated and cured
A buoyant reality cased where I stood reclined
Open meditative power I found
Replaced agonies towering sound
A face bestowed me spectral sight.
Knitting all seems together
My body would stare.
This was my place of peace
In Every direction eyes revealed
A dark silent ground given
Endless run ways now crippled and forgotten.
It was there my Mind saw visions
so that I might comprehend.
My heart made a metaphysical decision
New life,
True wisdom must send.
And from that night I would care.
