My Almost Lover

by Cody B   Sep 26, 2009

Fear of loneliness & rejection,
has finally walked out my door...
I lie curled against the coldness,
of this stained carpet floor...
Whispering to myself questions,
that only haunt me more...
Another smoke to the restless,
as the sleepers quietly snore...
I think I'm just to bold too,
forget the life i thought we had...
So if Pains my cost to hold you,
then the price it ain't so bad...
There'll never be another,
& I promise you by any means...
So Goodbye my almost lover,
Goodbye my hopeless dream

I actually really liked it. It had a very good flow and the way you worded some things just sounded beautiful, but sad. Great job.
