A Bitter Ending

Empty promises and lies
These build up your form
Cold summers and bittier winters
Swirl inside your soul

Trust and forgiveness
No longer belongs in me
Your world lies beneath
The earths darkest sea

In my eyes now
You are nothing more
Than in my deepest memories
A shadow on the wall

So walk away from me
And take everything that is you
For to gain entry to my life
There is nothing you can do
