Strange Savior

by I WhoWhatNow   Sep 27, 2009

I have lost my will to fight
and you pick me off the floor.
I have given up on life
and you throw me through the doors.
I have learned a new task
and you're indifferent as a stone
I forget to have a heart
and you say "You're not alone."
I can't make up my mind
and you go to isolate me
I have fulfilled a dream
and you emphasize the empty.
I look to you for help
and you are always there
I ask for your advice
and you give me blank stares.
I cry to you and weep
and you put up a wall
I strengthen my poor heart
and you give me your all.

I have absolutely no idea what he was trying to do, I will say this: it was like I was falling slowly into a state of depression for leaving behind my old life and with a painful wrench he pulled me away from those haunting memories, completely confusing. That's why he's my strange savior, that and once I was ok he just up and left. I have the strangest friends.

Hmmm. Seems like lessons. With each give, there is a take, or a way to tell you not to take each forward step for granted. It was a little mixed up at first, but I think I got a little idea of your trials, and the "hardening" you had to go through.
    "I strengthen my poor heart,
and you give me your all."
Was this the blessing given upon you for learning to be strong?
