they always say that their there for you
and pretend to wonder whats wrong
yet you can tell by the look in their eyes
their feelings don't seem to prolong
so you hide in the shadows, fending in the corner
from the horrors of day and night
facing the struggles alone in the world
wondering what reason to continue to fight
who out their in the right mind will show
they don't want you to give into the pain
who will tell you not to let go
in the darkness that keeps you contained
it seems as if they all disappear
whenever you would need them the most
the commotions in their own dear lives
hint that their just too engrossed
yet i need you to hear, my voice when i say
the inflictions you thought you couldn't bear
will never have to be faced alone
as long as you remember I'll be there
i'll bring you a candle, and light your way
strife alongside as you battle your fears
