So I Heard (Sequel)

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Sep 28, 2009

So i heard you said you miss me.
That you're praising me in front of all.
But back when we were friends.
You were unfaithful, as i recall.

My friends tell me about your remorse.
But that is just too late.
I moved on already.
And the burden was very great.

Where were you when i needed you?
Where were you when i was weak?
Were you shocked that a strong girl like me?
Turned out to have a human streak?

My enemies were so sure.
That you were on their side.
But you really belonged with those scum.
Until they brushed you aside.

You bit the hand that fed you.
And you talked behind my back.
Who was it that stood beside you?
When you got so out of track?

And now you realize what i was?
Now you praise me in front of all?
You thought i'd never know.
But the writing was on the wall.

And so I hear you miss me.
I can't help but sigh.
I have one advice for you though:
Go drown in the river of your cries.

*This is a true story. It is about my ex-best friend.

I have an ex-best friend like this. I helped her in every way I could but when the worse come to worse she became a back stabber and began calling me names with the bullies. We are all better off without these sort of 'friends.' Written well, 5/5. Em

It is funny how a lover that leaves you and finds the going rough, manages to say things to people with the intention that you would hear them and take them back. Never I say, once a weasel always a weasel. Well done.
