Impulsive Longing

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 29, 2009

Arousal fills the air
Hands, skin, the sting of lust
Lightning fingertips
Escaping breath

Primal pounding
Esurient lips
Devouring flesh
Such carnal hunger

Night is a blanket
The stars
A twinkling audience
To our transgression

Fog settles
Enveloping a waking mind
Setting free
Subconscious desires

Animalistic temperments
Break the chains of innocence
Unleashing
Raw, primordial lust

A wonderful paean to passion. Love the phrasing in this poem, 'primal pounding', 'raw primordial lust' just capture the essence of our ancient desires.

I like how you created a rhythm , even though it doesn't rhyme . The lines flow really nicely together, and your wording is lovely . There's nothing to critique , 5/5 .
