New Beginnings

by Angie   Sep 29, 2009

New Beginnings

precious heart slowly mends
as walls begin to fall
crystal pools of blue
no longer rimmed with red

river of tears have dried
leaving no trace of stains
upon rosy cheeks
as luscious lips smile again

moving on to greener pastures
where trees bloom with color
and branches reach out
to soak up the morning sun

smells of oak and maple
tickle all the senses
as the sun begins to set
shadowing the hills in the distance

the cool dark night sky
shines from the beauty
of moon and stars
dancing with diamond delight

owls hoot as crickets sing
and pleasure is found
in the arms of a treasure
as new beginnings are begun
