For Stephanie

by Daisy if you do   Sep 30, 2009

May the joy of memories past
drown your times of Sorrow
And the Peace of knowing Heaven
be your Comfort of tomorrow

Let Faith alone guide you
when the pathway looks too bleak
And Courage be your crutch
when you feel you are too weak

When it feels like Hope has left you
and all that was, is gone
I pray that Strength will lift you up
and help you carry on

Keep close at heart each memory
when times get too tough
Relinquish all your hurt because,
you know you have his Love

***This poem was written for a friend of mine whose father committed suicide last week.

The ones left behind have such a hard time coping with suicide...there are really no words to comfort them, but you did a fine job anyway, Kay.

Only time can make the wouds hurt less, but the scare will always remain, becuase it was a deliberate deed and not caused by fate.

    Very impressive and tasteful poetry:)

    God bless,

    5/5 Ingrid
ps: what to think of those little people, even dense enough to downvote a poem as moving and close to the heart as this, eh?
