The Curve

by marilyn marti   Sep 30, 2009

I saw this boy, he's standing in the distance, staring at the sky
He looks so lost, it throws me off, I feel a tear fall down my eye
He turns to me, I cannot breathe, he scatters into pieces
I try to catch them, I lose my strength, this is what I needed
Shed some of that pain on me, I swear it'll all go away
We've grown to hate, just let it go, come back and whisper stay
It's killing me, it's killing me, i'm aching crying, I see you now
You're breaking slowly, ashes sifting, can we make it out somehow?

Wow. awesome imagery. the subtle rhymes flow nicely.
