OverDose

by Someone   Oct 3, 2009

Clear!
A yell.
Clear!
The sound of a crackling energy.
Clear!
Pain.
Clear!
Breath.

Opening my eyes as if they weren't my own
Having troubles, gasping and moving as if a drone.

We're losing him!

Sliding away.
Shadows of doubts towering over reassurance
Death lingers

We need to pump his stomach!

The taste, such horrid taste
To gag, but can't
To resist but only be held down

It's not working, we're going to lose him!

Hot burning tears.
Do I want to go?
No, I take it back

Sweety, hold on!

Mother, give me your hand so that I may hold on
Give me that love you so desperatly gave
Even though I turned my back on you

The sound of a flatline

In the end, it wasn't my closure.

Wow....this was such a creative poem. I loved the style and how easily your words flow throughout the entire poem. I think you really expressed yourself well here and I love the imagery. This was a great poem and I'm glad I read this. Nik
