Sleepy

by ntv650   Oct 5, 2009

Sleepless nights, sleepless nights please go
Tired of missing you and tired of being alone.

The moon she smiles and brightly she glows
Blinding luminescence to the sleepers unknown

Deepest of thoughts expire, giving birth
Unconsciously in my arms and she floats.

Those slumbering shells, that arrogantly dream
Filling black days with jealousy and hate

And yet to the moon, my demur does not grow
Though darkness swells around, you do beam.

The gift of life, life of meaning and of peace
Does fondly steal my sleep, does slowly kill me

Lying in my arms, you rightly have found
A peace I did seek and a love I did renounce.
